Development Activity

RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS

Hardeman Estates:  Over 300 new lots with average home prices between 250s and upper 300s.  Builder is Impression Homes and Bloomfield.

Legacy Ranch:  76 half acre lots just south of John Wiley and east of Boss Range Road will be completed sometime in summer of 2018.  Home price averages between low 300s & upper 400s.  Builder is Brookson. 

Reserve at the Meadowlands:  Phase 1 will contain 7 single-family lots located at the west entrance on the southwest corner of FM 407 and Meadowview Drive.  Phase II will contain 15 single-family lots located at the east side along Sage Drive.  

Timberbrook:  Largest planned development in Justin.   This 1,550 home development is north of 12th Street, south of Oliver Creek and west of FM 156.  The development will include land for a new school, two amenity centers, public safety facility and extensive hiking and biking trails.  Estimated completed of first homes by late summer of 2018.  Home price averages between low 300s & uppder 400s.   Builder is Bloomfield. 

Village at Reatta Ridge:  Multifamily and commercial project located behind Allsups and the Justin South shopping center on the north side of John Wiley.  The 300-unit complex site plan includes a big house style apartment on the western portion of the project as a buffer between the residential/park and the multifamily.  A more urban apartment style wll go in on the eastern portion project behind the shopping center. 

 COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENTS 

  • A 4-unit retail center is going into the east of Dollar General.  This project will include professional office space, as well as retail space, with an option to build out a restaurant on the eastern end.  

  • On FM 156, Texas Ice Cream relocated from Southlake to Justin.  There will also be a publishing company relocating to this tract of land and long-term there will be development of additional professional office and retail spaces along FM 156.  

TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS

  • FM 156
    Construction is scheduled for completion November 2019.
    Downtown parking should be completed after construction of FM 156.   FM 156 is being realigned closer to the railroad through Old Town to make room for the addition of a downtown parking area.  There will be 200 parking spaces (including some side-street parking), when completed.

  • FM 1171
    FM 1171 will be a straight connection between I-35W and FM 156. This 3-mile stretch of 4-6 lane roadway will have an above-grade crossing over the GE test track and BNSF railway.  The road will come down to grade on the west side of FM 156 along John Wiley, and will have a connection back through the property at the SW Corner of John Wiley and 156 to get traffic back to north or southbound FM 156.
